Lord's Day...

photo taken: on Swanson's farm

"Usually we think of methods of intake as falling into four categories – hearing the Word taught by our pastors and teachers (Jeremiah 3:15), reading the Bible ourselves (Deuteronomy 17:19), studying the Scriptures intently (Proverbs 2:1-5), and memorizing key passages (Psalm 119:11). All of these methods are needed for a balanced intake of the Word… (But) we must do more than hear, read, study, or memorize Scripture. We must (also) meditate on it (Joshua 1:8).

"Blessed is the man
Who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly,
Nor stands in the path of sinners,
Nor sits in the seat of the scornful;
But his delight is in the law of the LORD,
And in His law he meditates day and night."
-Psalm 1:1-2

Blessed Sabbath day to all of you!!

This was such a wonderful reflection. I have printed this out and intend to make a plaque with this important reminder. The Psalm is just what I needed to hear this evening. Thank you so much!

By the way, you truly have a gift for capturing the beauty of God's creation through the lens of a camera! Calla lilies are such beautiful flowers and a particular favorite of mine. So simple and so elegant. You captured it forever in it's perfection!

Thank you so very much for your kind comment on my blog. I sincerely wish that we DID live in closer proximity. It would be such a blessing to have such a godly sewing companion and encouraging friend! Getting to know you through your blog has been such a blessing to me!
