'Tis the first day of~ December...

December
is indeed here.
What a glorious, scrumptious and
delightful month this is.
It just so happens this is my most
favorite month of the year.

Sipping hot cider by the roasting fire, cold rain
drizzling outside my window,
hot cocoa, warm scrumptious eggnog,
delectable chocolate truffles, prime rib with
creamy Hollandaise sauce, red shawls and hats,
giving special Christmas presents to others,
Christmas cookies and Christmas caroling
as we honor our Savior's Blessed Birth.

What an amazing thing to celebrate,
Christ's birth ...
Emmanuel~ God with us.

"And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us."
-John 1:14

"And she shall bring forth a son, and
thou shalt call his name Jesus:
for he shall save his people from their sins."
-Matthew 1:21

The Father sending His son
who was born in such a humble stable to die for sinners
and give those sinners new life in Him and life everlasting.

"The holly bears a blossom
As white as lily flower
And Mary bore sweet Jesus Christ
To be our sweet Saviour
O the rising of the sun
And the running of the deer
The playing of the merry organ

Sweet singing of the choir
"
-Christmas Carol

~Happy December Everyone~

What are some of your favorite things
about this lovely~ Month?

"To every thing there is a season,
and a time to every purpose under the heaven."

I love this time of year also. It seems like things rush by in a blur and if we don't slow down and remember to pray for the days to actually mean something then it all passes by before we even know what has happened. That is why when I say my morning prayers I ask Jesus to slow the day for me.

Happy December!

It's such a wonderful month. A month to remember the important things in life such as the birth of Jesus, our family and friends and giving to others.

Beautiful post!

Happy December Miss Jen :) Beautiful post!

I too love December. I love a fire in the woodstove, eggnog, the wonderful scents flowing from the kitchen, ice covered branches after a snow and ice storm, cuddling under a cozy quilt, the Christmas Carols praising my Savior. So much more :) Thanks for sharing :)

Have a blessed day Jen!

Dear Miss Jen,

Ah, yes, December is definitely a cozy time of year! I love watching my children get more and more excited with each day, and how as they get older they make presents for everyone (and wrap them) without any assistance!

Love,

Marqueta

I loved your take on December! We just decorated our house for Christmas today. I love the soft look of the white lights and the lovely Christmas music playing gently in the background.

What a wonderful time of year to pause, reflect, and give thanks to God for the gift of our precious Savior!

Thank you for sharing, Jenny!

Love~
